President Obama Has Some Sage Advice For Kanye West

A number of people have weighed in on Kanye West's plans to run for President in 2020, and now the current President Of The United States himself is sharing his thoughts on the topic and even offering up some advice.

"A little bit later, you’re going to hear from a guy who I hear has been talking about launching a potential political career," Obama said during a fundraiser in San Francisco where both were present.

"In case Kanye's serious about this whole POTUS thing, or as he calls it, Peezy, I do have advice for him... "Just some stuff that I've picked up on the way."

Obama shared three tongue-in-cheek pieces of advice for the rapper, fashion designer and Peezy hopeful:

1. "First of all, you've got to spend a lot of time dealing with some strange characters who behave like they're on a reality TV show," the President said. "So you've just to be cool with that."

2. "Saying that you have a 'Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy' — that's what's known as 'off-message' in politics," Obama said of Kanye's 2010 album. "You can't say something like that. There are a lot of people who have lost their congressional seats saying things like that."

3. "Do you really think that this country is going to elect a black guy from the South Side of Chicago with a funny name to be president of the United States?" Obama asked. "That is crazy. That's cray!"
