Today, August 26, 2015—a day which will live infamy—the world came to the collective realization that the prominent emerald ring Eva Mendes has been wearing on the third finger of her right hand for months now might symbolize her engagement to Ryan Gosling. Or that they're already married.
E! News did some sleuthing after the actress and dog stylist posted an Instagram in which the jewel is particularly conspicuous and came to the conclusion that she began wearing it in June, always in the same position on her right hand.
