5 Things We Want To See On The Bachelor

We’re not too proud to admit that we’ll be amongst it tonight to see what the new bachie Sam has in store for us in the latest season of The Bachelor.

Over the past two seasons of the hit reality show, controversy was rife and drama at an all time high as 19 eerily-similar-looking women all vied for the attention of one headline-hogging bachelor.

The drama. The roses. The hissy fits. The tears. Oh and there will be suspense… so much suspense. Here are 5 things we want to see more of this season:

The bachelor contemplating

Contemplating who to give a rose to, reminiscing on a date… If there is anything that could possibly require contemplation, be assured, the bachelor WILL contemplate.

We're pretty confident that the new bachelor Sam will continue the contemplative tradition.

#dirtystreetpie take 2

Okay, so #dirtystreetpie was so 2014 BUT… who could forget? For those who missed it, some serious shade was thrown last season when Laurina was treated to a one-on-one date with bachie Blake at a bowling alley… followed by a pit stop at a pie shop. Poor Laurina was less than impressed and on the verge of tears when she spluttered, “Everyone else gets Ferraris, super yachts and private jets, and I get a dirty street pie.”

Here’s hoping for new dates in unexpected locations, with subsequent corresponding #hashtags that trend on Twitter.

The ‘first kiss’

Last season saw it’s fair share of inevitable ‘first kisses’ that were incredibly spontaneous and not at all staged.

Take Ali and Blake’s first kiss for example. The pair were trying out a little acrobatic trick – as you do – that began with Ali bending over and putting her hands through her legs. Blake then grabbed Ali’s hands, which sent her twirling into his arms. After all that flirting, the close facial proximity proved to be too much for the pair, who began kissing almost immediately.

Confrontation

The key component of reality TV, providing the all-necessary #drama. Amp up the Laurina, of #dirtystreetpie fame, wasn’t afraid of speaking her mind when she felt alienated on a group date. (See video below).

Osher Gunsberg building suspense

We ask the question: if suspense isn’t built up slowly and deliberately by Osher Gunsberg, is it really suspense at all?
