A very big A-lister has just smashed a Guinness World Record for taking selfies. No, it’s not a Kardashian. Or a Jenner. Or even a Hadid.
It’s Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.
Yes, you read that right: everyone’s favourite former WWE wrestler turned silver screen heavyweight (see what we did there?) is the unlikely recipient of a world record for taking the most selfies in under three minutes.
The hulking hunk with a heart completed this feat at the London premiere of his new film San Andreas. He brought his best A-game, extending that long arm of his and double-tapping with great dexterity to take an amazing 105 selfies with fans on the red carpet.

There were a few rules Johnson had to adhere to: the pictures had to be in focus (“no blurring”), taken on a smartphone and the full face and neck of each selfie participant had to be visible. The Guinness World Record team takes this stuff very seriously: adjudicator Mark McKinley disqualified “several selfies” because they were blurred.
To celebrate his latest accolade, Johnson posted – you guessed it – a selfie to his Instagram.
“Yup, a selfie world record exists and your arm gets a helluva workout,” Johnson wrote.
