The year that has followed the lavish wedding of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West was just as – if not more – extravagant than the wedding itself.
Over the past twelve months, Kimye have renovated their $11 million Bel Air home and purchased another Hidden Hills property for a cool $21 million. Their latest property boasts three acres of manicured lawns, eight bedrooms, a helipad, a vineyard, a private gym, a theatre and a library. However, Kanye wasn’t content with the property as it was, so he spent another $2.9 million on the place next door.
And despite their impressive fleet of cars – including a $750 000 Lamborghini and top-of-the-range Bentley – the couple much prefer to travel by air and have been known to use their private jet for car journeys that would have taken a mere 30 minutes.
A body like Kim’s comes with a hefty price tag. She reportedly drops an estimated $130 000 per year on beauty treatments that include:
· 24-carat gold facials
· tequila body scrubs
· anti-ageing glycolic face peels
· eyelash extensions
· Fraxel cosmetic laser treatment
· laser cellulite removal
· detoxifying mud wraps
· manicures
· pedicures
· hair styling sessions
And if the beauty treatments fail, Kim can always rely on Photoshop. Earlier this year, OK! Magazine alleged that Kim spends $100 000 to keep a professional Photoshop expert on call for any Instagram posts that require emergency touch-ups.
The expenses on presents alone have also been OTT. While Kim definitely knows how to take of her self, Kanye also knows how to make his lady feel special. On mother’s day this year, he send Kim a few thousand roses, a string quartet that exclusively played Sam Smith songs and a waiter to announce ‘This is from Mr. West for the best mother in the world’ with each course. Kim gushed on Instagram, ‘I got to my room in Brazil and my amazing thoughtful husband had the sweetest note with a couple thousand roses covering my entire suite for Mothers Day! I'm so sad I'm so far away on this day but happy we celebrated yesterday! I love you baby & North soooo much!!!’
Kanye also gets his fair share of gifts. Kim is reportedly fond of buying gifts for her husband such as designer duds and gifts such as a $100 000 Cartier watch.
The pair’s young daughter hasn’t been excluded from the excess spending – she was recently spotted sporting a pair of half-carat diamond studs with an estimated worth of $50 000.
ICYMI: Kimye have flown to Paris to celebrate one year as husband and wife. Apparently, Kanye rented out the Eiffel Tower for the couple’s vow renewal. We wonder how much that set him back…
