Sarah Jessica Parker will be back on the small screen later this year, The Hollywood Reporter reports. Parker will be returning to the network that made her a star in Sex And The City: risqué American cable channel HBO.

The show? A series dreamt up by Parker herself called Divorce, focusing on the experiences of three middle-aged women dealing with marriage breakdowns. Molly Shannon and Thomas Harden Church will co-star alongside Parker, who is also listed as the Executive Producer. British comedian Sharon Horgan has written the script.

While Parker’s character Frances is no Carrie Bradshaw, Divorce shares some striking similarities to everyone’s favourite ‘00s comedy show. The series is concerned primarily not with marriage (despite the title) but with the nuances of female friendship, and the show will be filmed in Parker's native New York later this year.
