Not only is Karlie Kloss one of the world's top supermodels, she's also one smart cookie (literally - she also owns a cookie business - more on that later).

The 22-year old, who recently resigned from Victoria's Secret to attend university, is using her own money to fund a coding scholarship for 20 young women, aptly titled 'Kode with Karlie'.

"I'm so excited to partner with @FlatironSchool to announce the #KodeWithKarlie Scholarship!" Kloss wrote on Instagram. "This summer, 20 young women will have the chance to take the same amazing two week coding course that I took last year. To apply for a spot, record a video telling me why YOU want to learn code. Go to flatironschool.com/kodewithkarlie for more info :)"

Kloss, who is one of the modeling industry's top social media stars, explained that she thought it was necessary for girls to take an interest in what has typically been a male dominated industry.

"I think it's crucial that young women learn to code as early as possible to ensure that we, as women, have a voice and a stake in what the world looks like," Kloss explained of the decision.

Kloss is quite the entrepreneur for her young age: she also own's Karlie's Kookies, a fashionably wholesome, health-conscious and philanthropic line of baked goods, and has an Instagram following of 2.2 million fans.

"It's an interesting that models are being booked for jobs and covers because of their following on a social media platform," Kloss commented. "I walked in the Balmain show for Olivier Rousteing. If you rounded up all the numbers of the majority of his line-up, there would be upwards of 10, 15 million followers."
