Kate Middleton made one of her last scheduled public appearances today before she is expected to give birth next month. The location? The set of Downton Abbey in West London. Cue all the jealousy.

The 33-year old Duchess of Cambridge lived out a Downton Abbey devotee's dream during her visit: eating cake with Mrs Patmore and Daisy, posing for pictures with Lady Mary, chatting with Anna and Bates, taking part in a guided tour of the set with the show’s creator Julian Fellowes and getting a sneak preview at scenes currently being filmed for season six of the hit series.

The Duchess of Cambridge is apparently a huge fan of the show, along with her husband. The pair started watching the beloved costume drama series after the birth of their first child Prince George, US weekly reports. With the sixth season of the show – also rumoured to be its last – airing later this year, Kate and Prince William will have plenty of future binge-watching material to get excited about.
Real-life royalty at Downton Abbey… This might potentially be the most English thing we have ever seen.
