While there won’t be a Bridesmaids sequel anytime soon (but let's face it, how could they top that?!), The New York Times reported today that Kristen Wiig and her Bridesmaids co-writer, Annie Mumolo, are working on a new film.

The upcoming project will reportedly center on "best friends who find themselves in over their heads and out of their depths, which were, perhaps, not too deep to begin with."

Sounds as clear as mud to us, but it could also accurately describe the script from Bridesmaids, which went on to become one of the most iconic wedding comedies of all time.

"We're very excited to be writing," said Wiig and Mumolo in a statement. "We will be going into a cave for months to finish. An actual cave. We found one that’s nice and big. We’re putting a couch in there."

Wiig and Mumolo hit the jackpot with Bridesmaids, which pulled in nearly $290 million worldwide and also earned them an Oscar nomination.
