Sia has done it again.

Last night, the music industry elite descended on Sydney’s Carriageworks for the annual Australasian Performing Rights Association (APRA) Awards. It was a rockstar-studded affair with guests including Vance Joy, Angus & and Julia Stone and former Silverchair frontman Daniel Johns, who performed his new single “Aerial Love”.

But the evening belonged to one woman: 39-year-old Sia Furler, who took out the coveted Songwriter Of The Year title for the third year running and Song Of The Year for her hit single “Chandelier”.

True to form, the elusive star did not attend the awards and had another artist – Fall Out Boy’s Pete Wentz – accept on her behalf via a You Tube clip in which he wears a trademark ‘Sia’ blonde wig.

The two wins cap off a stellar year for the Adelaide-born singer-songwriter, who recently notched up four ARIA awards for her sixth studio album 1000 Forms of Fear, as well as two Grammy nominations in the US.

Other winners from last night include 5 Seconds of Summer (Breakthrough Songwriter of the Year), and Brisbane indie-pop band Sheppard for their song “Geronimo” (Most Played Australian Work and Pop Work of The Year).
