Yahoo Lifestyle Cher Is The New Face Of Marc Jacobs

We knew something was up when Cher and Marc Jacobs arrived on the red carpet at the Met Gala together, and now we know. Cher is officially the new face of the designer’s eponymous brand.

Cher is the only woman pictured in the advertisements, which dropped in WWD yesterday. Wearing a floor length gown, black leather gloves and some seriously. big. hair, the images are completely arresting. David Sims lensed the campaign and Jacobs’ longtime stylist and creative partner Katie Grand (the women responsible for getting Kendall Jenner onto high fashion runways) styled the advertisements.
The 69-year old actress and singer is the just the latest in a long line of famous fashion icons fronting big brand campaigns. This year alone there’s been Joan Didion for Celine, Joni Mitchell for Saint Laurent and Iris Apfel for Kate Spade. Which brand will be next? We’re keeping our fingers crossed for the Queen for Burberry.
