In yet another blow to the fashion industry, 25-year old Peaches Geldof has been found dead in her home.
The model, socialite and daughter of Bob Geldof and the late Paula Yates, was found by police after they responded to a call regarding “concern for the welfare of a woman”.
“At this stage, the death is being treated as unexplained and sudden,” Kent Police said in a statement.
Peaches, who often spoke of how she struggled to come to terms with her own mother’s death from a heroin overdose in 2000, instagrammed a photo of herself and Paula Yates the day before she died.
Bob Geldof has since released a statement about the shock news:
“Peaches has died. We are beyond pain. She was the wildest, funniest, cleverest, wittiest and the most bonkers of all of us.

"Writing ‘was’ destroys me afresh. What a beautiful child. How is this possible that we will not see her again? How is that bearable? We loved her and will cherish her forever. How sad that sentence is.

Peaches husband Thomas Cohen, the lead singer of the South East London band S.C.U.M., added, “Peaches was adored by myself and her two sons…and I shall bring them up with their mother in their hearts everyday.”
Geldof leaves behind two sons, Astala, one, and Phaedra, who will turn one on April 24.
