This year, Karl Lagerfeld presented a somewhat pared back show (compared with the Airports and Casino gone before it), if the Grand Palais, decked out to resemble the 31, rue Cambon salons where Gabrielle 'Coco' Chanel once presented her collections, can be called pared back.

This year they decided to mix things up and give all guests a front row position (there was only one row), thus spawning the hashtag #frontrowonly.

"People complain that they can't see the clothes because they are too far away, this season everybody is front row." the designer says of the decision.

The newest member of the Chanel family, Willow Smith, was front row (#frontrowonly) and was in awe at Lagerfeld's creativity.

"Karl is like an Angel of creativity, he embodies the clothes he designs. You can tell in his eyes and how he carries himself, he has an energy that just exudes throughout the entire room."

"There's just so much care that's put in and so much soul," she added.
