Louis Vuitton and UNICEF Team Up To Help Children In Need

Louis Vuitton have today announced an exciting new partnership with UNICEF to raise much-needed funds to provide children in crises with essential care and protection.

The fashion house have designed a Silver Lockit pendant and bracelet exclusively which is available to purchase in Louis Vuitton stores and online worldwide for $800 each - $300 from each sale will be donated directly to UNICEF.

"UNICEF is a strong and reliable leader in humanitarian action. Together, we can make a real difference to children in the most vulnerable situations," said Michael Burke, Chariman and CEO of Louis Vuitton.

"Charity stars at home. Out 20,000 staff members have joined forces to generate strong ideas for this cause. Our goal is to reach as many people as possible, ask them to share our promise and make a real difference."

"From deadly natural disasters to brutal conflicts and fast-spreading epidemics, children across the world are facing a changing and increasingly complex humanitarian environment," said Gerard Bocquenet, Director, Private Fundraising and Partnerships, UNICEF.

"UNICEF is glad to be working with Louis Vuitton to provide care and protection to the world's most vulnerable children. The partnership will also help shed light on silent emergencies that might not be in the public eye but affect children in a devastating and long-lasting way."

In addition to launching the Silver Lockit, Louis Vuitton have also launched their #MAKEAPROMISE campaign which hopes to raise awareness and funds around the world for the sixth biennial UNICEF BALL which will take place in Los Angeles on the 12th January.
