Yahoo Lifestyle Gigi Hadid's Victoria's Secret Photoshoot Is Here
Things are certainly looking up for Gigi Hadid since her split with Cody Simpson - not only has she nabbed a new boyfriend (Joe Jonas FYI), she's also joined Taylor Swift's new squad, and, more recently, realised her dream of shooting with Victoria's Secret.
The 20-year old model signed with Victoria's Secret Pink earlier this year, and now the first pictures from the shoot are out - and they're sizzling.
Gigi shows off a bright pink lace set in the new campaign, while fellow model Rachel Hilbert works a floral number.
It's the first time Gigi has appeared in a campaign for the brand after she was turned down for the runway show last year.
"Gigi worked so hard to get the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show, and she didn't get it," said Hadid's mother at the time. "But you know what? That's just life. She was sad. She was boxing at Gotham gym every day and in great shape, and it seemed like a perfect fit. But you know what? It ended up not to be.
"And rather than go, 'Oh, I'm so sorry,' I said, 'Hey, Gigi, that's life, baby. We're not always going to get what we want, and this is not a rejection of you, Gigi, as a human being. This is just redirection for you into something that's going to be much bigger.' She looked at me like, 'What do you mean?' And I go, 'If it's meant to be, it'll happen at another time. It wasn't meant to happen today.'"
If this shoot is any indication, perhaps we'll see Gigi on the Victoria's Secret runway this year after all.
