Yahoo Lifestyle Alicia Vikander Is The New Face Of Louis Vuitton

Presenting Alicia Vikander: Actress (you might remember her from A Royal Affair and Anna Karenina), fashion darling and now, the star of Louis Vuitton’s latest campaign.
Eagle-eyed style watchers have been predicting Vikander and Louis Vuitton’s partnerships for months, based mostly on the fact that she has been wearing exclusively Louis Vuitton on her press tours for period drama Testament of Youth and sci-fi flick Ex Machina, in cinemas now. Though no official announcement has been made, the actress confirmed the news to The Hollywood Reporter at the Louis Vuitton Cruise show in Palm Springs earlier this week. "It hasn't been officially announced yet, but yes," Vikander admitted to the publication.
Get used to Vikander’s gorgeous face, you’re going to be seeing a lot of it from now on given her jam-packed 2015 schedule. The Swedish star has seven films slated for release this year, including the highly anticipated, big budget Cold War crime caper The Man From U.N.C.L.E alongside homegrown starlet Elizabeth Debicki and Hugh Grant. After that it’s straight into awards season territory, with Tom Hooper’s The Danish Girl, about one of the first men to undergo sex reassignment surgery in the world. Her co-star? None other than Eddie Redmayne, fresh from his Oscar-winning role as Stephen Hawking.

We’ve had Vikander on our radar since last year, when she wowed us in Australian thriller Son Of A Gun. Speaking to marie claire at the time of the indie film’s release, Vikander shared her frustration about the lack of powerful female roles for young women in Hollywood.
“I can point out, which is quite sad in this industry, I did four films last year and I was the female lead and only female role in all of those films,” Vikander told us. “Sadly enough, it’s something that [women in the industry are] quite used to now. It’s difficult to find strong female characters, and I’m always looking for them.”
She also told marie claire she has a very minimal approach to dressing because, after spending most of the past three years on the road, she has had to learn to pare things back in her suitcase. “You learn how to live with not that many things,” Vikander said. “I don’t need much. I have my own flat now in London and my friends would come over and say, where are all your clothes? And I was like, this is it, just two racks!”
We’re sure those racks include a few pieces of Louis Vuitton now.
