The Royal Tour may be over, but that doesn’t mean we’ve stopped poring over the Duchess’s 24 official outfit changes.

In just twenty days, HRH Catherine wore $53,000 AU worth of clothes and accessories. To most, this is an exorbitant amount, but when broken down, it’s clear the Duchess was careful to cut a few corners.

One of the most expensive dresses worn by the Duchess was her bespoke black Jenny Packham gown, which she donned to an event in New Zealand. Worth approximately $5,100, the evening dress featured a silver leaf emblem in an obvious nod to the country’s emblem.

Following that, the Duchess’s parade of perfectly tailored coats topped the list, with the powder blue Alexander McQueen design cashing in at $3,935.

Her now infamous red Catherine Walker coatdress, which the Duchess had quite the Marilyn Monroe moment in, retails for approximately $2,521, while her green Erdem jacket is worth approximately $2,961.

But not all of the items worn on the Royal tour by the Duchess broke the bank: Kate was also spotted in her favourite $53 Zara jeans, and later pulled out a $55 Gap blouse.

There were also a few big ticket items that have seen the light of day outside of the Royal tour: Kate recycled her blue Stella McCartney shift dress, Max Mara wrap dress, Luisa Spagnoli red suit, and her two-piece ensemble by Rebecca Taylor.

In addition, all of her jewellery, aside from her favourite Cartier Ballon Bleu watch, was on loan from the Queen, bringing the cost of her wardrobe down significantly.

Regardless, the so-called ‘Kate effect’ was out in full force during the tour, with the Duchess’s Tory Burch dress and DVF wrap dress selling out within minutes.

Likewise, the Zimmermann dress she donned to the Royal Easter Show was such a hit, the brand’s website crashed with fans clamouring to buy it.
