Would You Wear Melting Tights?
They’re not on our 2013 trends list, but German company URB is certainly pushing the envelope when it comes to fashion by creating a pair of “melting” tights.
Made from latex and a thin layer of baby powder, the tights are designed to look as if the wearer’s legs have been splashed with paint, and currently retail for around $50 US.
While one of the pairs has already sold out online, this is one trend we can’t see taking off on the street.
“Would we wear them? Um...no,” commented refinery29.com. “The design has certain...unsavory implications that we would just rather not get into thankyouverymuch. Nonetheless, innovative stuff.”
