Dyson Just Launched A Hairdryer And You're Definitely Going To Want It

First they made vacuum cleaners sexy. Then they had us all lusting over fans. But now Dyson has really got us… because they have created something that promises to help us with… our hair.

Today, Dyson launched the Dyson Supersonic Hairdryer, a product that took four years to develop deep in the depths of a special laboratory dedicated to studying the science of hair.

"Hair dryers can be heavy, inefficient and make a racket," said Sir James Dyson at the launch in Tokyo. "By looking at them further we realised that they can also cause extreme heat damage to hair. I challenged Dyson engineers to really understand the science of hair and develop our version of a hair dryer, which we think solves these problems."

According to Dyson, 1010 miles of real human hair were used in the testing process….(don’t visualise that).

The hairdryer – which does not yet have a release date or price - promises to protect natural shine, and has four heat and three airflow settings, plus a cold shot…and with it's small motor surrounded by acoustic silencers to keep the sound to a minimum.

We’re guessing this will go cult before the year’s out.
