Global beauty behemoth Estee Lauder has tapped 19-year old Kendall Jenner as its freshest, newest face. Jenner joins international supermodels Joan Smalls, Liu Wen and Stephanie Seymour, all of whom have signed multi-million dollar contracts with the beauty megabrand.
This is a smart move for both Jenner and Estee Lauder: Jenner has been increasingly focussing on her high fashion credibility of late, and Estee Lauder wants to find an 'in' with the youth customer. With Jenner’s almost 16 million Instagram followers (yes, 16 million), she could be the model that helps endear the historic American beauty brand to a new generation.
Jenner has already been put to work, naming some of her Estee Lauder favourites on their website. She loves a peachy-pink lip gloss, Bronze Goddess powder and the brand’s classic fragrance Modern Muse.
