Margot Robbie's brother leads David Jones fashion show

This year retail giant David Jones took to Hobart, Tasmania to showcase their Autumn/Winter fashion show of 2019, with the runway being held at the iconic MONA (Museum of Old and New Art).

Walking the catwalk were some old favourites including David Jones ambassadors, Jessica Gomes, and Victoria Lee however this year we also saw some fresh faces including mum Gemma Ward and Margot Robbie’s brother Cameron Robbie.

Themed ‘The Art of Living’ there were plenty of natural colours and prints walking down the catwalk including burnt reds, and tribal and animal print in a range of new textures.

“We see animal print as one of the biggest trends of the season, whether leopard, snake or tiger,” said Bridget Veals, David Jones general manager of womenswear and accessories.

Suiting for both men and woman was also another major trend this year with Bridget commenting, “Women are feeling more powerful again. Suiting has been making a comeback but the cut is very important and we’re seeing heritage fabrics such as tweed and plaids as well as coloured suiting mostly in pink and blues.”

And rather than showcasing the designs by designer, the hottest looks for this season were instead grouped by trend – just as we have done in our gallery.
