Margot Robbie Welcomed Her First Child With Tom Ackerley

This Barbie is a mom.

Congratulations are in order for Margot Robbie and her husband, Tom Ackerley, who officially became parents! That's right, this Barbie just added mom to her long list of titles, including actress, producer, model, business owner, and fashion icon.

On Saturday, Nov. 2, People confirmed the arrival of the couple's first baby, a boy. The couple have yet to share their newest addition's name or his official birth date, per the publication.

The Suicide Squad star first sparked pregnancy rumors after she was spotted on vacation with Ackerley in Lake Como, Italy, in July. At the time, she wore a cropped white T-shirt, black pants, and a black blazer draped over her shoulders that seemingly revealed a baby bump. A few days later, People confirmed she was indeed expecting.

Robbie and Ackerley have been married for nearly eight years. They exchanged vows at a private ceremony in Australia's Byron Bay. They first met in 2016 on the set of the World War II show Suite Française. Ackerley served as an assistant director on the project and Robbie starred in the film. The two went from life partners to business partners in 2014 when they co-founded production company LuckyChap.

Ackerley gave some insight into their sweet relationship in June. He told The Sunday Times of their business-and-pleasure relationship.

"It’s seamless. We don’t have a toggle on, toggle off. It’s all become one thing," he said, adding that they spend "24 hours a day" together.

A source told People in July that the couple wanted to start a family for a while.

“Family means a lot to both of them and they knew early on in their relationship being parents was something they really wanted,” the insider said. “They've been keeping it under wraps for a while, but are happy the news is out.”
