A US woman has taken the fitness world by storm, completing a half, and full marathon while pushing her three children in a pram, and smashing three world record in the process.
Competing in the Missoula Marathon in June, Cynthia Lauren Arnold took working with kids to a whole new level by completing the 42 km run in just 3 hours.
Cynthia and her kids, who hail from Montana, crossed the finish line after just 3 hours and 11 minutes, compared with the previous record holder’s 4 hours and 7 minutes, according to the Guinness World Records .
Now the mum has gone viral online, after the marathon’s official Instagram page shared a striking photo of her, kids strapped in, pram rolling, face determined.
Smashing the full marathon record on the 28th of June this year, the mum’s official listing on Guinness World Record’s is still pending, but she can be spotted for both other events of the organisation’s website.
On the listing for her half marathon record the mum says she completed the long-distance race in order to create a ‘meaning memory with her children’.
The photo posted by the marathon organisation has attracted almost 2000 likes and hundreds of comments.
It’s actually a snap of the mum’s record-breaking half-marathon run back in 2018, but in light of her most recent achievement it was re-shared to the delight of runners everywhere.
Mums in particular seem to have drawn inspiration from the power lady, with everything from her record, to her kids being praised in the heartwarming thread.
“All moms are running a marathon in their own way and she is an inspiration to all of us!” one organisation shared.
“Sooooo amazing!!! Mommas getting it DONE!” said an enthusiastic supporter.
“What an amazing strong mom!!” another wrote.
“This mom is my hero,” one woman shared.
In an interview with Running Magazine earlier this year, Cynthia said the running with a pram means more than just convenience to her.
“The stroller gives one the freedom to carry on a lifestyle with new ones in tow,” she said.
