Management Company The Cartel Makes Multiple Signings Across Various Platforms
EXCLUSIVE: Management and production company The Cartel has signed John Pogue, Michael Alaimo, Rebecca Ewing & Danney Mackey and Lisa France.
Best known for penning such classics as U.S. Marshalls and The Skulls, Pogue’s latest project, Cabo, was recently announced and is being financed by Concourse Media, based on a script written by David McKenna. He also recently co-wrote and directed The Quiet Ones as well as the Lionsgate pic Blood Brother.

Alaimo is currently serving as co-showrunner and exec producer on the Amazon/Freeve series Ballard, a spin-off of the hit Amazon series Bosch. Other past credits include serving as exec producer on the Showtime series The Man That Fell To Earth and Fear The Walking Dead.
Ewing & Mackey are writing partners who first came together writing the original spec Love Hard, which is the second most watched Romantic Comedy ever for Netflix. Their project An Ex To Grind, which stars Emma Roberts, is next in the queue for them for Netflix, and is slated to start production in 2024 with Wonderland Sound & Vision producing.
France is a John Cassavettes award-nominee for her film Anne B. Reel, and was honored with multiple awards for her 2017 documentary, Roll With Me. On the television side, she most recently served as the Producing/Director on Queen Sugar, as well as a number of episodic directing gigs that include The Cleaning Lady on Fox and Naomi on CW.
