A young man has revealed he recently had to think on his feet and hide under a woman’s bed after her boyfriend arrived home from work.
The Sydneysider, who goes by the name of Kane, told KIIS FM’s Kyle and Jackie O that he was under the impression his female lover had split from her boyfriend, but obviously that wasn’t the case.
“This girl, I’ve been following her for a while on Instagram, she’s pretty decent, and she’s got a boyfriend but the other day I got a random follow from her,” Kane told the radio hosts.
As is the case in the age of social media, it didn’t take long for the pair to strike up a conversation after the woman ‘liked’ one of Kane’s photos.
“So then I messaged her and I said, ‘Oh it’s a shame you’ve got a boyfriend’, and she wrote back, told me that they broke up,” Kane explained.
“But she still had all his photos up and I thought it was a bit weird. We kept talking for a couple of days and she told me she lived by herself, organise a day to come over.”
Perhaps Kane should’ve been wary of another man in the picture, given the woman had carefully instructed him on where to park before they caught up.
“She messaged me beforehand and said she lived in a house backed onto a park. She told me to park my car in front of the park and walk through the back,” he explained.
“I asked her why and she said, ‘Because my neighbours ask questions’.”
While Kane noticed the dog in the woman’s home was the same as the pooch in her ex-boyfriend’s social media snap, he still pursued the dalliance.
It was 20 minutes in when a car pulled up in front of the house and panic kicked in.
“She freaks out, jumps off me, and starts running around. She’s like, ‘Go, run out the back door, run out the back door’. I’m trying to find my clothes,” Kane revealed.
Thinking quick on his feet, he crawled under the bed with his clothes in his hands.
“I thought when he goes into the shower, I’ll just get out and run then,” said Kane.
“But he’d come back from work, and straight into bed, and stayed there so I couldn’t go anywhere.”
“I didn’t want to fall asleep in case I snored so I just had to stay there all night.”
Kane was finally able to leave once the woman’s boyfriend had gone to work the next morning, and that was after very little explanation from the woman.
“Don’t worry, just go, just go,” she had said. She then sent him a message before blocking him on social media.
