Socialized Staffys Can Be Big Teddy Bears
Just as Peggy's demeanor indicates, Staffordshire Terriers can be total sweethearts, if socialized and trained properly. These good-natured pups are typically loyal friends 'til the end and will more than likely smother you in sloppy kisses than intentionally cause harm. They can grow to be quite sturdy and muscular, standing at 17-19 inches at the shoulder, which means you should keep a watchful eye around smaller children due to their sheer weight and size.
The American Kennel Club notes that Staffys are easily trainable and extremely smart, so it's best to keep them mentally stimulated to forgo any destructive behavior. But one thing that sets these cuties apart from other "Pit Bull" variations within their breed is their complete devotion loyalty to their people. They love hard!
Known to be affectionate and playful with those big "whale eyes" that gets them all the treats, it's no wonder Peggy developed such a deep friendship with Molly. She's been raised to love and be loved and that makes all the difference in the world. These two just get each other.
