Yahoo Lifestyle MAFS UK groom Arthur “wasn’t interested” in going on the show at first
New Married at First Sight UK groom Arthur has revealed that he initially "wasn't interested" in taking part in the show.
The contestant is among the recently-announced line-up of the new series, which is due to kick off next Monday (September 18).
Speaking to Digital Spy and other press ahead of its premiere, tennis coach Arthur opened up about his original hesitation over joining the series.

"I actually haven’t seen the show before… until I got in," he admitted. "I didn’t apply for it… they just contact[ed] me through socials….
"They’ve contact me once at the start of last year, I wasn’t interested, and they contact me again at the start of this year and I thought to myself ‘let’s go for it’."
Arthur, who originally hails from Poland, also said he has been a “hopeless romantic” since he was a child, adding: “I’m all about love”.

The contestant previously explained that he was looking for the fairytale relationship he has always dreamed of, saying: "I'm ready to find the love of my life".
Also among the new line-up is the show's first-ever trans contestant, 29-year-old clinic consultant Ella.
"This experiment is so much more than just me getting married," Ella said of taking part in the series. "I see this as a big deal for someone who has transitioned."
Show expert Paul C Brunson previously teased an "explosive" new series of the show, while also praising the diversity of the cast.
Married at First Sight UK airs on E4 in the UK. Married at First Sight Australia airs on Nine Network in Australia and E4 in the UK.
