Jess' Christian family condemn her 'disgusting' MAFS affair

She’s made a name for herself as the bride who decided to turn the Married At First Sight experiment on its head by asking to recouple with another groom, but Jessika Power claims her Christian family aren’t happy with her behaviour on the show.

Jessika, who had a secret affair with Tamara Joy’s husband, Dan Webb, on the Channel Nine reality show, said her Christian family were left shaking their heads as her secret tryst played out on screen.

“My family are, you know, very – they come from a very Christian background and they were watching it back just going Jess, come on, like this is not you,” the 26-year-old from Perth said on Today Extra.

“This is not your morals. This is not how you were brought up and they went where’s our parenting gone?”

Jess went on to say she’s ‘disgusted’ by her behaviour on the show and would hate her future children to watch it back.

“I was disgusted in myself and I felt horrible. I’m just going what were you doing Jess? Come on. You’re not this girl,” she continued.

“You could have happily left the experiment with Dan and I didn’t. I chose to stay.”

She went on to say that she ‘regrets’ how they broke the news of their affair to their partners, claiming she should have told them from the start.

“I would have come clean because in every day world, you don’t do that to someone. Stringing them along – obviously Jess with Mick, me with Tam – building a friendship, stay to build a friendship, like, it is not friends at first sight.

“Look, I regret that. I do. I look back and I feel like I watch myself on there and I think what a w*****, you know, excuse my French. But I can’t complain because obviously I went in there looking for love.”

Earlier today, Jessika said she didn’t really see her relationship with Dan as cheating because she was ‘never in love with Mick and Dan was never in love with Tamara.”

“Even if we (she and Dan) hadn’t met one another, I don’t think Mick and I would have lasted,” Jess told Nova’s Chrissie, Sam and Browny.

“Our attraction was straight away, and I think we’ve proven that you can’t really beat chemistry.”

Last week, Jessika claimed her husband, Mick, and Dan’s wife, Tamara, weren’t bothered about the love square and even egged them on.

“At the girls night, Tamara said, ‘You like my husband? If you like Dan, go for Dan’. And Mick sat at the dinner table and said to Dan, ‘If you like Jess, have her’,” Jessika said on Talking Married.

Jessika said that doesn’t condemn what they did and she regrets ‘being swept up in this bubble of lies and manipulation’.

“I feel horrible about Tamara,” she confessed. “I trashed girl code and I was disgusting.”
