MAFS' Jess Power comes clean on Sam Burgess controversy

Jessika Power has commanded her fair share of headlines this year, after initially finding fame during a bombshell appearance on Married At First Sight.

And now the reality TV star has once again opened up, this time about her apparent rendezvous with NRL star Sam Burgess in the wake of his split from wife Phoebe.

But in an apparent backflip from earlier admitting to 'flirty' messages with the father-of-two, Jess now says the texts were simply a show of friendly support for the embattled athlete.

“I let him know that I was here to chat and just to see if he was okay, so that was it,” she told Daily Mail, adding “There's no dating going on there!”

The 28-year-old went on to offer words of support to Sam’s estranged wife after the couple reportedly split for the second time last month.

“I feel sorry for her,' she told the publication. “I feel sorry for anyone that has a broken family or has things going on with somebody that they love with children involved.”

Jess and Sam’s connection first came to light earlier this week when reports emerged claiming Jess attempted to have him accompany her to the Maxim 100 party—an offer he politely declined.

Similarly, the NRL star is said to have ‘bragged’ to friends about “lining up a date” with the MAFS alum, something Jess told news.com.au he “shouldn’t be bragging” about.
