MAFS' Jamie Marinos almost unrecognisable in throwback photo: 'Gorgeous'

MAFS bride Jamie Marinos has emerged as a firm fan-favourite during the 2025 season of the Channel Nine reality show. Having been paired with groom Dave Thomas Hand, Jamie has cemented herself as someone loyal and completely devoted to her relationship while not being afraid to speak her mind or stick up for her fellow castmates when she feels they are being unfairly treated.

While the 28-year-old account manager has always been gorgeous, she looks almost completely different in old photos that have resurfaced online. Jamie appeared on Nine News several years ago following a robbery at the store she worked at, with photos of the TV appearance being posted to Facebook.

In the photos, a younger Jamie appears to be bare-faced and without filler in her lips. One MAFS viewer commented, "Oh wow, she looks better in these photos I think."

"Just get a look at those fabulous eyes," another agreed. "She looks gorgeous."

"I love Jamie, lips or no lips!" a third wrote.

"I actually think she also looks better without the eye lashes and dark make up," someone else added.

"She has the nicest eyes," yet another admirer wrote.

"She actually reminds me of Carrie Bickmore in these photos," someone else wrote.

Jamie tipped to make big bucks following MAFS appearance

Jamie is undeniably the fan favourite on this year’s season of MAFS and currently sits on 127,000 followers, making her the first and only cast member to crack 100k on Instagram at the time of writing.

Influencer Marketing Hub’s earnings calculator reveals that Jamie’s following - which is expected to grow over the next few weeks - could see her earning up to $35,000 in Instagram brand deals over one year.

Josie Gagliano, director of Sydney talent and PR agency RoJo Consulting, tells Yahoo Lifestyle that Jamie has the best chance out of everyone in the cast to maintain a following after the show.

“I think Jamie will do well after the show because she is outspoken and has worn her heart on her sleeve,” she shares. However, she asserts that large social media followings don’t always translate to a successful career in the media industry.

“Social media followers can build, but if you are not authentic and have a habit of being controversial or just plain nasty, nobody is buying what you are selling,” she adds. “Consumers do not forget and will vote with their money."

While Jamie looks set to have a lucrative career post-MAFS, it remains to be seen what her future with Dave looks like. The pair have been in a very tumultuous place, with their relationship falling apart in recent episodes.

The start of the breakdown of the popular couple came after Jamie told Dave she loved him and he admitted he wasn't in a place where he could say it back to her as his attraction levels didn't match hers.

However, in leaked pictures, which were taken on October 14, a week after this week’s homestay episodes were filmed, the pair were spotted looking more loved up than ever. As they arrived to film the second to last dinner party of the season, they held hands while getting out of the same car and proceeded to kiss for the cameras, with Dave even grabbing Jamie’s bum to make it clear they were back to their best.

Producers also had the couple film multiple takes of their loved-up arrival, suggesting it is going to be part of a bombshell storyline.

It comes after the pair's relationship has been in turmoil after Dave told Jamie he didn't feel like his attraction was growing for her. The pair attended last week's dinner party solo and Dave faced the group, who were as baffled as viewers following the shift in his personality.

To make matters worse, Dave told the boys and producers, "I don't hate the girl," when asked about his feelings.

But, thankfully, it would appear as though the couple seriously turn things around, at least for now.
