MAFS' Domenica and Sam reveal meaning behind unusual tattoos

Married At First Sight brides Samantha Moitzi and Domenica Calarco have opened up about the meanings behind their tattoos.

26-year-old fashion brand manager Samantha, who is paired with 25-year-old carpenter Al on the show, has a huge stomach tattoo of the word ‘Delicate’.

Speaking to 9Entertainment, Samantha explained what spurred her on to get inked with the design.

"When people meet me, I come across really confident... extroverted, sassy. But inside I can be quite insecure and really sensitive."

Sam opened up on screen about her reasons for going on the controversial show, saying she was left broken from a past relationship where she was madly in love for seven years and found out he had cheated on her.

She’s been matched with Al, who has never had a serious girlfriend before appearing on the show and still lives at home with his mum.

28-year-old makeup artist Domenica also revealed to 9Entertainment all about her tattoos, with one in particular being very special to her.

Domenica has a jar of Vegemite on her arm because it’s “something I always goes back to... It will always make me happy”.

She also got the year ‘2020’ tattooed on her and the words ‘Love you’ because “if you don't love yourself no one else is gonna love you”.

Domenica revealed on the show that she got married after a four year relationship but the marriage only lasted two months after she decided to call things off.

She's been paired with 26-year-old financial planner Mitch, who is looking for a woman who shares the same interest in adventure as he does.

While the couples seem to be getting on well enough at the moment, only time will tell how they go in the experiment.
