Last week, two new couples entered the Married At First Sight realm – Billy and Susie, and Dan and Tamara – and it’s safe to say they all dove head first into the drama.
However, it turns out the newcomers were in for a bit of a shock when they arrived at the first dinner party to find that all the other couples already knew each other.
Billy, 28, said he had no idea he and his wife were coming into the experiment late, and he only found out while speaking to the original couples.
Initially, the personal trainer just thought everyone was just “very welcoming”.
“It didn’t click for me that this was the fourth week of the experiment,” he told 9Honey, adding he “just thought everyone had a few hours to get to know each other”.
He was under the impression everyone “was nice and familiar with each other”.
During their first commitment ceremony on Sunday night, Susie was branded “toxic” by MAFS expert John Aitken after she made a long list of complaints about Billy.
Apparently the guy gives too many compliments, and also isn’t “manly” enough – how awful.
Many viewers didn’t warm to the 26-year-old much either.
Not surprising #Susie is oblivious that shes the problem in her and Billy's relationship, considering how fucken oblivious she is that her "catterpillar eyelashes" look ridiculous. She didnt take Jonnos criticism well did she? Get outta there quick smart Billy 🙅♂️ #MAFS #MAFSAU pic.twitter.com/6WiXGY2x60

#mafs Feel sorry for Billy. He is too good for Susie and she can’t see it. Glad everyone else can.
