McDonald’s is feeling the magic of Christmas this festive season and is about to launch a joyous treat with its Happy Meals.

From Wednesday, the fast food restaurant will debut The Elf on the Shelf Happy Meal with 10 different Santaverse plush toy characters or two The Elf of the Shelf books to collect.

Families can also win exclusive prizes by taking part in a cheeky Scout Elf hunt by visiting their local McDonald’s store to find the elf with a QR code.

McDonald’s Australia marketing director Amanda Nakad said for the first time ever in Australia, the Christmas tradition that has captured the hearts of families around the world, would be flying into Macca’s for the holiday season.

“Christmas is such a joyous time for both kids and adults alike,” she said.

“We know that the tradition of The Elf on the Shelf brings thousands of families together every year, and our series of playful and loveable elves with their adorable friends from Santa’s North Pole are sure to deliver holiday fun and Macca’s feel-good moments and memories to everyone.

“But you’ll have to get in quick – Santa’s little helpers won’t be here for long, with Happy Meal available for a limited time before they head home to the North Pole.”
