Macaulay Culkin and Brenda Song 'Go All Out' for Christmas with Their 2 Sons: 'We Want to Nurture That Belief'

Macaulay Culkin and Brenda Song are fueling the holiday spirit for their kids!

The Home Alone alum, 44, revealed in a new interview with E! News that he and his fiancée "go all out at Christmas in our house" for their two sons: Dakota, 3, and a 2-year-old whose name has not yet been revealed.

"Because right now, they're at the magic age where they believe, and we want to nurture that belief," Culkin said, adding that he even has a plan for explaining where he'll be while screening Home Alone across the country this month.

"I told them that I'm at Santa's workshop fixing toys, because that's what I do for them at home," he said. "I'm so good that Santa Claus called me up to the North Pole. They're totally fine with that."

Culkin's tasks around the holidays includes being on stocking duty. He describes himself as being the "master" as he stays on top of his game every year.

When it comes to gifts, his kids' tastes appear to be overlapping — Dakota "wants a Spider-Man truck, he wants a truck from New York City and he wants more presents," while his youngest son wants a truck of his own.

"And my youngest heard exactly what he said. He goes, 'I want a garbage truck. I want garbage bins and I want more presents.' It's like they're wishing for more wishes," Culkin said. "I'm like, 'You guys are certainly my sons.' "

Culkin added that he knows he's done a good job of gift-giving when Song asks him, "Where'd you get that?" — something that happened when he picked up a Zoltar fortune-telling machine, apparently from Switzerland.

He raved that his algorithm is flooded with recommendations based on his "kooky taste," and it simplifies hunting for gifts.

Culkin and Song's kids have had a glimpse of their dad's 1990 holiday classic. The actor previously told E! News that Dakota even mixes up the actions of his dad's character Kevin McCallister with his own personal childhood memories.

"He thinks he's Kevin," Culkin said.

"I'm like, ‘Do you remember going down the stairs on the sled?' He's like, ‘Mmhmm, yep. Sure do.' I'm like, ‘Do you remember when he had yellow hair?' And he's like, ‘Uh-huh, yep.' "

Dakota also told his dad he "fought the burglars" — something Culkin had to jokingly shut down. "You're a lying liar who lies,'" he joked to his toddler, adding, "That was me!"

Culkin will be treating Home Alone fans to screenings of the film across the country this month, alongside a Q&A as part of Home Alone: A Nostalgic Night with Macaulay Culkin.

The event is continuing this weekend in Milwaukee and Detroit, before making its way to Ohio, New Jersey and beyond — wrapping on Dec. 15 in Massachusetts.
