M&M's Halloween Rescue Squad is back

If you have a candy emergency this Halloween, M&M’s will come to the rescue.

M&M’s Halloween Rescue Squad is back to help candy givers have a bottomless supply for trick-or-treaters after the first run in 2023. The goal remains the same: refill candy bowls that deplete too early on Halloween night for free.

Starting at 5 p.m. on Oct. 31, consumers can visit MMS.com/Halloween-Rescue-Squad to restock Halloween candy bowls. The M&M’s Rescue Squad, in partnership with Gopuff, will get the free candy to fans within about 30 minutes of accessing the website, according to a press release.

“As an authority on Halloween, Mars continuously listens to our consumers and we’re excited to inspire moments of everyday happiness all season long, and on Halloween night, with M&M’s Halloween Rescue Squad,” said Mars Wrigley's Tim LeBel ("Chief Halloween Officer" and president of sales).

New this year, the rescue squad will have physical stands in a few cities to help people out in person. M&M’s Halloween Rescue BOOths will be located in Philadelphia and Westfield, N.J. — the two cities that used the rescue squad’s services the most last year.

In addition to sweet rescue services, M&M’s has some new flavors for candy lovers to be excited about: Pumpkin Pie and Peanut Butter & Jelly.

The former adds pumpkin spice flavors to milk chocolate and is wrapped in brown, orange and cream-colored candy shells. The fall-flavored treats are available at retailers now.

The PB&J flavor contains chocolate candies with berry flavor and creamy peanut butter inside red, yellow and brown shells. Packs of the sandwich-inspired will hit retailers online and in-store starting in December.

Fall flavors are all around, like Sonic’s Witch's Brew Slush Float.

The green apple-flavored slush base is speckled with salted caramel bubbles and topped off with soft serve and more bubbles. It is available starting on Sept. 30 and will be available through Nov. 3.

Starting on Oct. 16, Dunkin’ is serving up Halloween-themed goodies. The brand-new Potion Macchiato is an espresso drink that features bright purple milk with “marshmallow ube flavor.” The new drink comes hot or iced.

The Halloween Munchkins Bucket is another new seasonal item. The plastic, purple buckets come filled with 50 assorted doughnut holes — and could easily be repurposed by trick-or-treaters.

Dunkin's spider doughnut (which got a purple-colored makeover this year) and the Halloween sprinkle doughnut and Munchkin are returning.
