Love Island star Maura Higgins, 28, has grown up a lot since her high school days.

A yearbook headshot of a teenaged Maura - reportedly taken in 2009 - recently resurfaced online, and fans can’t believe they’re of the same person.

"Guess who this is (spoiler alert: it's Maura). I guess there's hope for us all,” wrote one fan.

Gone are the brunette babe’s pouty lips, bronzed skin and camera-ready wardrobe, and in their place are a dark fringe, heavy eyeliner and a dorky school uniform.

Teen Maura may have been going through a bit of an emo phase if you ask us.

The Irish model’s TV-ready transformation didn’t happen overnight. Pics of Maura from 2013 show her with thinner lips and a smaller bust and bottom sparking rumours of cosmetic enhancement.

"#Maura Higgins looks totally different in pre #LoveIsland swimwear shoot. It’s crazy. Lip filler and she looks like a different person,” added another.

Maura’s mum Sharon hit back at rumours that her daughter has gone under the knife, insisting that she’s only ever had lip-fillers.

"She's 28 now. She has matured. She never got plastic surgery ever. The only thing she ever got done - and she never hid it, she had it up on her own Instagram - was she got some lip filler. Because she had quite thin lips,” she said.

Maura put her Love Island body down to hard work. Her perky derrière was reportedly the result of a gruelling six-week transformation - not bum implants.

Attention has shifted from Maura’s figure to her behaviour of late after she tried to kiss fellow contestant, Tommy Fury.

The “predatory” move sparked over 500 official complaints to Ofcom, the UK’s TV regulator with viewers calling for the star to be axed.
