Reality TV star's awkward x-rated text to his mum

A reality star has been left-red faced after sending a very awkward and rather x-rated message to his mum by mistake.

Alex George, 27, who appeared on Love Island UK in 2018 and is also a doctor, shared a screenshot of the saucy Facebook message intended for his girlfriend’s eyes only.

“I’ll be over in an hour babe,” the Welsh-born A&E doctor wrote, adding a provocative eggplant emoji at the end.

For those not in the know, the eggplant emoji - or aubergine as it’s called in the UK - is widely used to represent a man’s ahem, well ... you get what we mean.

After realising his faux-pas, the Exeter University graduate attempted to back track, writing, “Sorry mum, I’m making a moussaka with my girlfriend.”

But his mother wasn’t fooled, replying, “I speak text speak,” and adding a vomit emoji. Yikes!

The cringe-worthy conversation was part of an ad for the social media platform’s newly released ‘Unsend’ feature - but ad or not it’s still making people chuckle online.

“Can’t believe you thought of a recipe that quickly that requires an aubergine!” praised one fan.

“Why is this an ad?” wondered another.

Reality lovers

So, who was supposed to receive the suggestive text? That’d be Amelia Bath, 24, a dancer who found fame on the reality TV show Ibiza Weekender.

The reality stars have been dating since January 2019 after Alex broke up with Olympic snowboarder Aimee Fuller, who he had been seeing last year.

Now, Alex is currently balancing his work at a public hospital in South East London with a new health segment on Good Morning Britain.
