Sophie Monk couldn’t contain her shock during Love Island’s first ever ‘recoupling’ and fans are losing it.

The reality TV show host looked visibly horrified when Tayla swooped in and stole Grant from Cassidy in the brutal first partner swap of the season.

But while viewers were livid with Tayla for breaking “girl-code” many were obsessed with Sophie’s oh-so relatable reaction.

As Tayla, who has had her eyes on Grant for several days now, chose to couple up with Grant, the 38-year-old’s eyes bulged and she had to bite her lip to restrain herself.

It was pure gold TV and proves why Sophie is the only person for the job.

Naturally, Twitter exploded with lots of love for Soph, who was literally ALL OF US in that moment.

It wasn’t just the many faces of Sophie Monk that had everyone gasping though, with hordes of fans taking to the social media platform to view their anger at Tayla and Grant.

There were of course some fans who were totally here for the drama.

Woah, what an episode!

Since Love Island launched on Nine last week it has been surrounded in controversy, with many branding the format “sexist”.

Even former Bachelorette Georgia Love has weighed in on the racy new show, declaring it  “absolutely abhorrent”.

Strap yourselves in guys, we think the next seven weeks are going to be intense.
