Our favourite celebrity weddings of 2018

2018 has come to an end, but for some celebs, the year marked the beginning of a new chapter of happiness with their significant others.

From big, blockbuster weddings, to small, intimate ceremonies, these famous faces proved that for those in love, Hollywood knows how to shine.

Tim Robards and Anna Heinrich

Australia officially had its first married Bachelor couple after Anna Heinrich and Tim Robards tied the knot in Italy in June.

Anna wore an incredible Steven Khalil gown. The custom-made design featured a low-cut neckline and detachable skirt, and was completely beaded by hand.

Kit Harington and Rose Leslie

Rose Leslie and Kit Harington’s long-awaited wedding was attended by a slew of celebrity guests and took place in Leslie’s hometown, near Aberdeen in Scotland.

The Game of Thrones stars looked over the moon as they headed to their reception, which took place on her family’s estate, which includes Wardhill Castle.

Ricky Martin

The year started out bright for the music sensation Ricky Martin, when he said “I do” with his husband Jwan Yosef in January.

Martin told Ellen that he was the one who did the proposing and that he was so nervous he forgot to say “Will you marry me?” and instead, said: “I got you something!”

Amy Schumer

Marriage is no laughing matter for the hilarious Amy Schumer, who got hitched to chef Chris Fischer.

The wedding was a well-kept secret until Schumer spilled the beans afterward on Instagram.

Vanity Fair reported the ceremony featured not one, but two adorable dogs walking down the aisle, including Schumer’s pup Tati who wore – wait for it! – a veil.

And making the year an extra exciting one for the pair they are also expecting their first child together.

Prince Harry and Meghan

Perhaps no wedding was bigger or got more attention than the wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

It was royal wedding mania all around the globe, as the American actress and her prince walked down the aisle at St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle.

It’s reported that 600 invitations went out for the service, which is intimate compared to his big brother William’s wedding just a few years earlier, where the guest list topped out at 1,900.

Although she isn’t royalty, Priyanka Chopra sure had a wedding fit for a queen!

Chopra and Nick Jonas jetted off to her native India for a multi-day celebration where the bride wore a dress that featured over 2.3 million sequins, a 75-foot veil and took over 1,800 hours to make.

The two also had a second, traditional Hindu ceremony to honour her Indian heritage.
