Exclusive: The 'most beautiful woman in the world' reveals her secret
She's often named the 'most beautiful woman in the world,' and actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan says her secret is maintaining timeless elegance.
Speaking exclusively with Be theLongines ambassador of elegance says that to be elegant is more than just skin deep.
"It’s all in the motto for me," the 44-year-old confessed, "I truly believe elegance is an attitude, so when I was coming on board with the brand and I knew this was the motto of the brand, I was very happy to be a part of it."
She continued, "It’s about how you are as a human being, about your humanity, it’s about your dignity, integrity, and it’s not just about your own dignity, but it’s about your ability to accord that to those round you, it absolutely goes deeper than face value."
Meanwhile, in light of the #Metoo movement the Bollywood star shared her support behind the cause.
"I think the good thing that the movement reflected, is the strength that one voice has the capability of impacting, I think that was a very powerful message to percolate in all walks of life."
"Oprah said it most effectively, ‘It is the dawn of a new beginning,’ and it made people aware that these are the possibilities you can experience, in this present time, the present time to bring about change."
"We need to use that power and strength constructively, effectively and responsively. I can say I feel strongly and will support anyone who needs a voice." she told Be.
The star has touched down in Australia with her six-year-old daughter and husband, Abhishek Bachchan ahead of the Longines store opening in Sydney.
The pair who have been married for 10 years, are known as one of the most powerful couple's in India.
Aishwarya has been busy working on her latest film Fanne Khan and says it's one of the most interesting roles she's played.
"What’s interesting about my role is that it's about the larger story being told in the film, it’s not just about my character per say. And that was the narrative I wanted to be a part of."
"I find myself today feeling more and more liberated as an actress to just choose the stories I want to tell."
