PRINCESS DIANA would not have tolerated the tension between her sons and their wives agreed David Emanuel, who co-designed her wedding dress, and John Swannell, who photographed her in the Nineties.

“She wouldn’t put up with it,” Emanuel told us last night, after the princes appeared not to speak at the Service of Thanksgiving during the Platinum Jubilee. “The whole thing with William and Harry would never have happened if she was alive,” he said. “Diana was kind, and she wouldn’t allow it to get out of proportion.”

“It’s gone mad,” Swannell concluded, as the pair huddled by his 1994 portrait of the late princess giggling with her kids, at the opening of a John Swannell retrospective at Clarendon Fine Art, Mayfair.

A RENAISSANCE of dramatic dressing has begun. UK Drag Race star Bimini Bon Boulash sported medieval armour with a jock strap and bicorne hat at the Kerrang! Music Awards yesterday. “Everyone was boring for so long,” they said. “I blame the Kardashian effect, with those beige jersey dresses”. Bimini conceived the look with designer Cameron Hancock. “I’m loving pirates at the moment – embellishments, accessories. Let’s bring back maximalism baby!” All aboard?

Sienna steals the show

Londoner’s Diary 24 -6 22

SIENNA Miller lit up the National Gallery’s inaugural summer party last night, alongside boyfriend Oli Green, whose mother is a supporter of the museum. The Londoner complimented her strapless gown as she stepped outside for a cigarette, to which she aired concerns it was close to slipping down.

She was joined by fellow Anatomy of a Scandal actor Ben Radcliffe, Princess Beatrice and husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, artist Grayson Perry and model Ikram Abdi Omar in sampling wagyu beef bites and oysters.

Elsewhere, rockers were at Shoreditch Town Hall for the Kerrang! Music Awards, including Wargasm’s Milkie Way and Sam Matlock, and Biffy Clyro’s Simon Neil.
