Lisa Wilkinson’s cheeky holiday post

Lisa Wilkinson is in true holiday mode and had a bit of fun on Instagram while travelling through Sicily at the weekend.

Sharing a beautiful photo of herself at sea, The Sunday Project host cheekily told her followers, “I have a confession to make… I have been unfaithful.”

Contrary to where your mind might immediately go, she wasn’t talking about her husband of almost three decades Peter Fitzsimons, or her role with Network Ten for that matter, but rather her “longtime trusty 10 Euro travel hat.”

Lisa confessed she couldn’t find the hat while packing for this trip, so had to buy another, and chose a sustainable one by Aussie designer Maya Neumann.

She made it clear however, that the post was not an ad, but just “nice to help out a great Aussie company doing great stuff”.

Lisa has been travelling around Sicily, in the south of Italy, for the past week, and even climbed active volcano Mount Etna.

Project feud?

Her trip comes amid rumours of a feud between Lisa and one of her The Project co-hosts.

It was claimed last week a comment Peter Helliar made during the show’s 10 year anniversary special, had tensions running high.

According to The Australian, Lisa “shuffled off the set” and “was not sighted again” shortly after Peter said, “We love having you on our show”, while they were on-air with long-time hosts Carrie Bickmore and Waleed Aly.

However, there has been no confirmation that things played out as the report claims.

Lisa has been part of The Project family for the past year and a half, after she left her role on Today amid a reported pay dispute at the end of 2017.
