Lisa Wilkinson has sparked rumours she may be changing the tune of her career, after the TV star was spotted leaving the headquarters of a radio station.
The Project host was snapped at Nova FM’s office in Melbourne last week, leading one source to claim she could be adding a new platform to her already-burgeoning media portfolio.
Ready for business
Carrying several notepads, Lisa appeared ready for business before this apparent meeting, which New Idea reports comes amid negotiations with the star’s lucrative Network 10 contract.
“She’s playing hard-ball,” a source told the publication.
“She wants to host a number of prime-time specials in 2020, like Oprah. This was part of the initial discussions to get her from Nine but they haven’t happened.”
Although its intricacies have never been disclosed, Lisa’s current contract is rumoured to see her pocket $1.8million each year.
However, any potential radio ambitions could be conducted while still remaining a mainstay at Channel 10, if co-star Carrie Bickmore’s lead is anything to follow.
The Project host has spent the past three years balancing television duties with her afternoon radio program with Tommy Little.
These airwave duties are said to result in seven-figure pay packet for Carrie, an arrangement Lisa would understandably benefit from teeing up for herself.
