Lisa Wilkinson's bizarre confession on The Project

She’s used to being open and honest about her personal life when she’s live on TV so when The Project’s Lisa Wilkinson was asked a rude question by fellow panelist Tommy Little on last night’s show, she answered it in her usual candid manner.

The whole thing began when the 59-year-old interviewed a mum for a segment of the show, who only found out she was pregnant 24 hours before she gave birth.

During the segment, Lisa was pushing the woman’s son on a swing, before he turned around to her and said: “I farted on you”.

When the story wrapped, the camera cut to the panel, with Tommy Little focusing on one thing from Lisa’s interview - the boy’s hilarious farting comment.

“Is that the first time you’ve been farted on during a story?” Tommy asked Lisa, who couldn’t stop laughing.

She replied, saying: “It’s not the first time I’ve been farted on by a boy that’s for sure. I have two sons of my own.”

She is of course referring to her two sons, Louis and Jake, who she had with her husband, Peter FitzSimons.

The couple are also parents to 21-year-old daughter, Billi FitzSimons.

Lisa famously jumped ship from Channel Nine to Channel Ten after quitting the Today show in late 2017 after a reported pay dispute.

She’s gone on to host Sunday Project and conduct a series of high-profile interviews on the show, and filled in on the weeknight desk as well.
