Lisa Curry on her struggles with weight and mood swings

She’s known for being one of the fastest swimmers to ever come out of Australia, winning 15 gold medals in her international career.

But despite spending her whole life dedicated to the sport, Lisa Curry has revealed that she struggles with her weight but tried to maintain a healthy lifestyle.

In an interview with 9Honey, the 56-year-old, who married entertainer, Mark Andrew last May, said it’s hard for her to choose between ‘sleeping and going to the gym, or eating properly and eating out’.

“I’m not the same body shape as I used to be and it’s frustrating sometimes, but that’s the choice I’m making,” she said.

Lisa also spoke about the ‘mood swings’ she had during her career, which have led her to team with hormone company Happy Health You, which aims to promote healthy hormonal balance.

“I could have punched a hole in the wall and screamed for no reason,” Lisa revealed.

She claims there was no education about hormonal imbalance back when she was younger, but now there are ways of preventing it.

Last year, Lisa took to her Instagram to post a bikini picture from her honeymoon.

She encouraged her followers to keep fit and healthy with the caption: “get you real fit, real fast”.

A video showed Lisa looking happy and healthy while lounging by the pool at the Qasr Al Sarab Desert Resort by Anantara in Abu Dhabi.

The wedding came just one year after her divorce from former Ironman Grant Kenny.
