Lindsay Lohan Had a Sassy Quip to Disney CEO Asking Where Her Twin Was at 'Parent Trap' Premiere
"You should've paid me double because I don't have one."
Many Gen Zers and Millennials can likely say they grew up idolizing Lindsay Lohan. The early aughts icon made movies like Herbie: Fully Loaded, Mean Girls, and Freaky Friday the cult classics that they are today—some of her one-liners are still just as quotable two decades later. The child actor consistently brought wit, sass, and an enviable Y2K wardrobe to the big screen (and will thankfully do so again in Freakier Friday). And, it appears she had an equally cheeky personality behind the scenes. Lohan recently sat down with Andy Cohen on Watch What Happens Live!, where she recounted a bold quip she made at former Disney CEO Michael Eisner when she was just 12 years old.
It all started when Cohen asked the "Drama Queen" singer if there were any roles throughout her career she auditioned for that she didn't get. To which, Lohan said she has only ever auditioned for one project, The Parent Trap. This prompted the host to ask Lohan if it's true that Eisner asked her where her twin was at the 1998 film's premiere. Lohan, of course, doesn't have a twin; she played both sisters, Hallie and Annie, in the beloved flick.
"Michael Eisner [asked me] 'Where's your twin?,'" Lohan shared. "I was so young, I don't even know how I thought to say this, but I'll never forget what I said. I said, 'We'll you should've paid me double because I don't have one,'" she continued, eliciting a laugh from Cohen and the audience.
The Nancy Meyers movie follows twins separated at birth, Hallie and Annie, who meet for the first time at a summer camp. At the end of the summer, they swap places in an attempt to get their mom (Natasha Richardson) and dad (Dennis Quaid) back together.
In light of Lohan signing on for the Freaky Friday sequel, in which she'll reprise her role as Anna Coleman, once again opposite Jamie Lee Curtis, who will play her mother Tess Coleman, Cohen asked Lohan if she'd consider a Parent Trap reboot.
“I mean, if Nancy Meyers was a part of that, yeah. I would never say no to Nancy,” the actress said.
