Newlyweds Ariana Grande and Dalton Gomez held off on having their first red carpet this evening. Neither attended the Met Gala in New York City. Grande also skipped the MTV VMAs yesterday. Grande kept a low profile on social media, just promoting her upcoming season of The Voice. She did not reveal where she is today.
Grande and Gomez got married almost four months ago, in May 2021. A source spoke to Entertainment Tonight about their relationship in June, about a month into their marriage.
“Ariana and Dalton have really been enjoying married life,” the outlet's source said. “Ariana is happy and feels very relaxed. She feels like she is entering a new chapter of life and is excited to see where it goes.”
“Ariana and Dalton felt like before they were married they couldn't be as open about their relationship without it being scrutinized in the media and now they feel way more at ease,” the source added. “They have plans to travel more together and feel closer than ever.”
Grande shared some rare shots of her and Gomez together on her Instagram on August 21.
Grande hasn't given any interviews yet on her newlywed life with Gomez. But she did detail her decision to keep her relationship more private in April 2020. She wrote in a since-deleted Instagram Story that “sharing special, personal life things that make u happy on the internet can be truly traumatic. I know I’ve taken a step back from doing so to protect my loved ones and myself.”
