Liam Hemsworth leaning on 'good friend' Delta Goodrem following Miley split

Since news of his breakup with Miley Cyrus emerged earlier this month, Liam Hemsworth has been spotted leaning on his brother Chris Hemsworth and other close pals for support.

Now it’s been said that the 29-year-old actor has been in contact with a fellow well-known Aussie, Delta Goodrem, whose “good energy” as “a concerned friend” has been helpful and just what he needs.

“They go way back,” an alleged source tells New Idea, adding, “They’ve spoken a fair bit recently.

“He just wants to surround himself with people like Delta, people who make him feel good about himself and have good energy.”

Delta, 34, is in her own relationship with musician Matt Copley, whom she apparently met in late 2017.

Liam asks for privacy

A few days after news of his separation from Miley made world headlines earlier this month, Liam took to Instagram with an emotional post.

“Just a quick note to say that Miley and I have recently separated and I wish her nothing but health and happiness going forward,” he captioned an image of a sunset.

”This is a private matter and I have not made, nor will I be making, any comments to any journalists or media outlets,” he continued.

Meanwhile Miley was pictured enjoying a holiday with Kaitlynn Carter, who is Brody Jenner’s ex, with rumours swirling they had ‘faked’ a new romance.

Miley and Liam’s tumultuous relationship

Miley and Liam had a lot of ups and downs before they decided to tie the knot in an intimate Nashville wedding in December.

The dynamic duo first met on the set of the film The Last Song in 2009.

Miley was spotted wearing a ring for the first time in March of 2012, but the pair broke up in 2013, before reuniting in 2016.
