Liam Hemsworth has solidified his and Miley Cyrus’ plans to split, and swiftly hired a $850-an-hour divorce lawyer to manage proceedings.

The 29-year-old made the move just 11 days after news of the couple’s marriage breakdown surfaced and cited ‘irreconcilable differences’ as reason for their separation.

Making their split official

Proving he’s wasting no time moving on from his on-and-off partner of a decade, Liam employed the skill of attorney-to-the-stars Laura Wasser in a bid to keep things simple.

However, Ms Wasser’s services don’t come cheap, and typically only deals with those with a lot on the line when faced with marital woes.

“She charges $850 an hour, requires a $25,000 retainer, and rarely represents people who have less than $10 million,” Bloomberg once reported.

Past clients include the likes of Kim Kardashian, Johnny Depp and Britney Spears, who all sought splits for their respective spouses as fast and seamlessly as possible.

Liam’s swift split

For Liam, this outcome appears to be a sought after one, given just how fast the papers were filed against his wife of ten months.

“Liam is just done with it,” according to an E! News insider. “There is no turning back and he knows he wants to move on.”

“They have not had a lot of communication. There is nothing to say.”

News of the famous pair’s split first broke on August shortly before Miley was spotted kissing influencer Kaitlynn Carter in Italy.

Liam broke his silence on social media about the split a few days later wishing his ex “nothing but health and happiness going forward,” but said he wouldn’t otherwise be speaking out about the private matter.

The former couple married in December last year, almost a decade into their on-again, off-again relationship.

The pair initially met on the set of The Last Song in 2009 and broke off their initial engagement in 2013 before reuniting a year later.
