Liam Hemsworth surprises bride and groom at Gold Coast wedding

A bride and groom were left absolutely gobsmacked when they bumped into Aussie heartthrob Liam Hemsworth on their wedding day.

Photographer Kirk Willcox captured the moment Katie and Shane dropped into Currumbin Beach Vikings Surf Life Saving Club in Queensland for a drink, after tying the knot on the Gold Coast.

Liam was sitting at a table beside the window with friends when the bride’s sister spotted the Hollywood actor.

Photos show Katie and Shane looking delighted as Liam poses with his arms around the bride’s shoulders.

The 29-year-old Byron Bay local congratulated the couple and wished them well after gladly taking a snap with the pair.

"Liam was a lovely person and nice to get a photo with us. It made our perfect day even more special,” the couple said in a statement to Yahoo Lifestyle Australia.

Photographer Kirk said Liam was “a gentleman, showing kindness never goes out of style”.

The bride was especially over the moon about the chance meeting, as she’s a big fan of the Hemsworth brothers.

The photos of the trio have since gone viral all over the world and Kirk said he’s shocked at how many people have contacted him since then.
